A Boutique Property Management Company, Built by Owners—For Owners
Getaways by PCB Retreats was founded by Misty and Michael Frawley, longtime real estate investors and property managers with over 25 years of experience each across property management, real estate, renovations, and investment strategy.
Their journey didn’t begin in short-term rentals—it began where many owners start:
with fix-and-flips, long-term rentals, and hands-on ownership.
Like many investors, Misty and Michael eventually expanded into short-term vacation rentals. And like many owners, they quickly discovered a frustrating reality:
after hiring—and firing—three different property management companies, they still couldn’t find the level of care, transparency, and consistency they expected for their own properties. They decided to self-manage their single vacation rental from Alaska, and more than tripled their income in one year.
Eventually they retired from the State of Alaska here to the World's Most Beautiful Beaches to expand their portfolio, and they built what they couldn’t find.
Getaways was created to give property owners what was missing in the market:
clear communication, consistent representation, proactive maintenance, and a management team that treats every home like it’s their own.
As a family-owned boutique company, we don’t manage thousands of properties—and that’s intentional. Our model allows us to stay hands-on, responsive, and deeply invested in each home’s performance, presentation, and long-term success.
